Note : Do not let the topic below put
you off this Heli, its only a minor flaw, and easily repaired.
I only had one Crash so far with the 60, and being
honest, for some time, only really thought
that I had scrapped the blades, It was only later on, that I started to
notice vibration while in
the hover on the Skids, only slight, but noticeable.
I looked up for help, and
was told it could be the feathering shaft and/or the main shaft,
So I began to study, removed the feathering shaft, it was bent, main
shaft was still okay,
However, replaced the feathering shaft, tracking was ok, but still the
small Blurr of vibration
on the skids ( still not happy ).
It was only later after
more looking and looking, that I noticed the main gear was tilting
slightly
and the frame under the front tail servo mounting had risen slightly,
Leading me to the
conclusion that the frame sides were buckled a little, Stripped it all
down, and yes, this
was the case, the frame sides were bent at the Back part of the frame
just under the main
motor mounting. It was all straightened, and when put back together,
everything lined up nicely.
Below are some pics of the small Aluminium frame supports my father
made, they are only
attached with CA glue, but they have got hold very well, it may be a
little crude, but if any extra support must help....hopefully :)
